How to losslessly compress PDF file size?

  1. Step 1: Upload a bloated PDF

Drag and drop a PDF file that is too large (e.g., cannot be sent via email).

  2. Step 2: Local restructuring & optimization

The engine automatically strips redundant metadata and intelligently resamples and compresses embedded high-res images.

  3. Step 3: Download the slimmed version

Once done, you will instantly see the percentage of size reduced and can download the lightweight PDF with one click.

Why use our compression tool?

  • Intelligently balances quality and size

We don't blindly lower quality! Our algorithm protects high-frequency text layers and only applies extreme compression to background images and redundant code.

  • A lifesaver for 100MB+ files

Can't upload a massive design PDF? Use our pure local tool and avoid the pain of waiting hours for an upload only for the network to drop.

  • Free and unlimited

Many compression tools on the market limit you to twice a day. We remain completely open, free, and with no limits on usage.

PDF Compression FAQ

Q: Can the text inside still be searched and copied after compression?

Absolutely. Our compression algorithm primarily targets 'image objects' and 'invisible redundant font subsets'. The vector structure and text layers of the text itself are 100% losslessly preserved.

Q: Why didn't my uploaded PDF shrink at all?

This usually happens because the PDF is purely text-based (no images) or has already been heavily compressed. For PDFs with no optimization room, the system refuses secondary destructive compression to preserve quality.

Q: Does it work well for scanned documents (image-only PDFs)?

It's highly effective! Scans are often just huge uncompressed JPGs stacked together. Our tool intelligently resamples these layers, often compressing the size by a staggering 50% or more.
